TV sign in consistently failing on Kindle Fire (5th gen.)...

I've been using TV on my Kindle Fire without issue until recently and now no matter what I do when I attempt to sign in it says an intenet connection cannot be established . I've uninstalled and reinstalled and tried different versions of TV all to no avail. Has an update broken something on either the Kindle or in TV? Any ideas would be appreciated.
