Error setting up 2 factor

Every time I attempt to enter a code after scanning the QR code when trying to setup 2 factor authentication I get this error:
"Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request."

Using Chrome on my computer and I've tried both Google Authenticator and FreeOTP on my iOS device.
