error message when updating Version 14

I am trying to remote update, because Team Viewer sent me a notice that I needed to, and I receive the following message: "An error occurred while updating TeamViewer. Please check log file for more information." #1 I don't know where/what is log file and #2 I don't know what to do now. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
