When logging in to TeamViewer 9 from a trusted device, is no password required?

Hi all,

I recently upgraded to TV 9 (don't laugh) on a 'for life' business license, as TV 6 was being retired, and I've just gotten around to trying to connect to the primary PC from my (Android) phone. To my enormous surprise – and no small measure of alarm – after entering the new account number, it logged in with remote control immediately without requiring a password! Now, I've checked my list of trusted devices and found my phone is in there, so I'm guessing that's the reason, but I just wanted to check this is a known feature and not a hole in my security? I have the random password for spontaneous access set to eight characters.
