Can't lock phone with passcode anymore

I can't lock my phone with a passcode. I used the remote access function to control my mobile phone unattended using the host app, from my PC, now i can't lock my phone at all with a password.
I have tried clearing cached data, even uninstalling the host app, but it hasn't worked. Help!
