Host and full version at the same time?
Hi,
we recently bought a commercial license. Some users need the full Version to install. For all PCs I need to deploy the host version. Deployment is done via GPO and *.mst. Is this scenario possible? Will host and full version conflict? How about the other way arround, meaning host is installed first and then user install full client? Thanks.

Hello @htag,
Thank you for your message and welcome to the TeamViewer Community! ?
TeamViewer Host and the full client of TeamViewer cannot be installed and run on the same device. The technical reason is that both have a service running in the background and therefore, cannot be installed/run simultaneously.
However, you can deploy both modules via the GPO and .msi package.
You will need to make two separate deployments:
- deployment of the TeamViewer Host on devices X: Mass deployment - Host client
- deployment of the TeamViewer full client on devices Y: Mass deployment - Full Client
I hope this could help. ?
If not, do not hesitate to ask your questions here. ?
Best regards

Hi Jean,
thanks for the info, allthough it is bad news. Would it be possible to install the host and then run the portable full version at the same time?

Just tested it, does not work. That is really bad. Any Idea how to let people use Teamviewer as a Supporter and have the Hostversion at the same time.
What about the Teamviewer antivirus and asset management? Can they run at the same time as the full version? We might want to use them later on.

@htag If you want to have users doing in- and outgoing connections, they will need to use the full TeamViewer client on their devices.
TeamViewer Endpoint Protection and Asset Management are working through the Management Console via TeamViewer policies. There will be no such issues in this context.
