The new UI is horrible...

Remove or not they will lose clients and there is nothing they can do about it except perform a 180 turn

Already looking for alternative on the market. Possibly **Third Party Product**

EDIT: you can revert to the Classic interface, by going to Settings (gear icon), Your device, Go to this device's settings, and turn off Use new TV interface. Oh thank goodness!
I. Cannot. Stand. The. New. UI. I have never been so disappointed/unpleasantly surprised at a product "update".
The management window is no longer resizable -- why? With the old version I kept it in a small window to take up less screen space, but now I can't do that.
Also, the previous one was a lot easier to navigate and "view". I liked the list view on the left that's GONE.
It seems that they pulled a Microsoft, where they arbitrarily changed stuff to make it New and Fresh, and unrecognizable compared to the old one for people that have been using it before. If there's a way to back-grade, I'd like to hear about it.
BTW I've never posted here before, but I'm so annoyed with the new UI that I went through the motions to be able to do so.
Oh one other thing -- it keeps telling me that my machines need to be upgraded to Fully Functional, but I checked and at least one of them is at the latest version, as far as I can tell.

Hopefully they will let us have this discussion and listen to constructive criticism, rather than delete unfavorable comments.

I can't believe they did this. We are moving away from this ASAP, I'm going to cancel my account and get a refund if I can.

I think , considering they are substantially changing the product, its uses, its benefits and simplicity, a refund for those wishing to move on shoudl be in order. Either that or to at least maintain the "classic" apps and functionality until the end of current subscribers billing cycles.
Personally, I will be moving on from this product asap. Following this change, I do not want any more **bleep** suprises thrown at me, the last few have cemented its fate.
Its gone from being simple, quick and intuitive to a convoluted confusing mess. Great job Devs :)

After 15 years with teamviewer I will be moving to another product. So far... complete failure on the new interface and management, multiple outages, connection issues constantly, my device groups are a complete mess, new interface takes up to much real estate on my screen, I pay way to much for teamviewer, and someone should be fired at teamviewer for the new platform.
I agree with FxDB....we should receive the option to cancel our subscription and be refunded for the remaining balance. I will say [removed per Community Guidelines]
Sorry
AZITDude2 -
Do everyone a favor and post to trustpilot because TV has committed an epic failure with the new platform. 15 years I've been using TV and now I'm leaving.
AZITDude0 -
Your edit, this isn't an option on Mac from what I can see only on the Windows version.
Absolute joke!

**Bleep**!!! Way to screw some decent piece of software guys! What are you taking advice from Tim Cook? I had to run to **Third Party Product**, this thing is unusable, I couldn't even get my clients to start the app!
We had a good run TeamViewer! Too bad all good things come to an end :(
PS: Maybe, just maybe, consider UX the next time!

Hello,
I would like to share my experience with the new interface as a premium user.
I enabled it and reverted to the old one after about 15 minutes, for the following reasons:
- No right mouse support.
- Can't connect with a double click.
- Can't drag PCs between groups.
- The "connect" button is on the far right side of the monitor: very uncomfortable.
- I've not been able to find a way to move PCs between groups.
- In general, new UI is really scattered and dispersed.
Even worse, I installed TV on a new PC and the only options I had were to login, register or connect using an ID. No easy access to configuration. And no chance to revert to the old interface.
I had to manually edit the registry to revert.
TV is a product used by everyday users as well as professionals. Maybe everyday user will find this new UI easier and appealing, but I think that more advanced users will hate it.
Regards,
Roberto

If it were intuitive, we we would not be wasting our time in this forum.
Please remove this version and leave what worked alone. I do not the think the development team actually uses this "new interface" to remote and help our clients.
All I need is a QUICK way to grant easy access. What a mess

user-friendly and intuitive?! LOL
7 -
whoever designed this **bleep**, **Bleep**. *linus meme*
Can't even install and configure. There is no back button after Click on "login"
If you continue to pull **bleep** like that off, it will be your demise. People will switch to other software.

Bring back the old UI.. absolutely useless to me if they leave it like this

I agree with every point above except AndreB85.
New should be better, not worse, but modern UI programmers seem to live in a different world as sadly this is becoming commonplace now. The new Teamviewer UI is a bodgie dog's breakfast (Aussie slang)
- Bodgie (Adjective) Usually used to describe something that has poor quality, and is therefore really bad.
- Dog's Breakfast (Noun) A term used to describe when something is so bad that it is a complete mess.
I have been a Teamviewer user for almost 10 years, 7 years as a Premium subscriber. I stuck with Teamviewer even though it is expensive because it works - it was efficient and reliable. Looks like it's time to change. Unless Teamviewer revert back to what was tried and tested and loved by its users I will not be renewing in August.
I wonder if Teamviewer actually read these posts.

Bring back the standard layout. How the **bleep** am I ment to guide why user over the phone to install this is insane

yes, it doesn't fit even on my vertical screen and when i connect to remote pc the resolution jumps to 800x600 and I can't set new resolution as I was able in the old version
this new teamviewer has less functions than classic one

The new UI is horrible.
I expect a statement from TeamViewer on how to proceed.

Yeah man, This is disgusting.
the incompetence of team viewer - you would think that they would let their users know before hand of this stupid - pathetic team viewer update.
I have never seen a company before, pull off such a disgusting move that literally makes no sense at all
I can't for the life of me work out why they would even comprehend in their little team viewer minds why they think this was the better option. It's **bleep**, It's stupid. the new team viewer interface is the most pathetic excuse for a software program. They have completely left people off guard. I want to cancel my subscription, my customers find it so confusing now.
**bleep** TEAM VIEWER AND YOUR **bleep** MANAGEMENT THAT THOUGHT THAT THIS INTERFACE WAS EVEN ACCEPTABLE. Can people please comment on what a dicusting waste of time this interface is.
Literally, once you try to connect with the old style - you can't even cancel if it is connecting, it just says connecting at the bottom.
I'm so mad at the view that teamviewer have decided to up root any good stuff about this program and completely rehaual the user interface to such a stupid, pathetic view.
**bleep** TEAM VIEWER
Literally waiting for 10 minutes, because I dont' have the option to cancel a connecting session.
LITERALY WHO **bleep** ARE YOUR PROGRAMMERS - are they located overseas?????

Absolutely destroyed a perfectly good piece of software.
As said in other threads, UI is terrible to navigate and clumsy.
Not impressed.

LOL :D
Do you realize that I was the one who started this thread and actually brought points up that were bad, unlike you, who's just crying out loud?
+ the part that you might not agree with was actually a proposed (probably temporary) solution to the issues some were facing. Not to mention that I've even researched and provided the registry key to switch back to the old UI :)

100% agreed; new UI is a train wreck.
I was a happy TV customer before the update, now I'm researching their competitors.

Hello,
This new look is horrible.
I use TeamViewer to help my 75 years old mom to use her laptop.
Now with the new look she cannot found the password, so I cannot connect her system.
The new update changed my app language so my mother TeamViewer have different language as mine, that makes impossible to explain her anything
I am extremely disappointed.
This app was simple.
Why made this too complicated. Now impossible to help to anyone who not an IT manager. But if someone is an IT manager why they need this app? They don't need help.

Sorry AndreB85, I understand you are trying to be helpful. I was a bit unfair but I am just so livid that Teamviewer would ruin what worked fine. I lodged a support ticket with Teamviewer and the following is what I got - what a copout. It's obvious they don't give a rat's arse about their users. They did not respond to my concerns and I never asked them to terminate auto renewal. They are basically saying too bad so sad, tough **bleep** - if you don't like it bye bye. In the past their customer service was great but this response has let them down IMO.
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately, the old interface will be turned off soon, then only the new interface will be available. As per your request we have terminated auto renewal for your Premium subscription, effective 2/08/2023. Your license will remain available until this date, after which it will be deactivated.
Our developers are working hard to improve the functionality of the new interface. If you are satisfied with our future updates and would like to continue your subscription, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for being a TeamViewer customer.

Same here. Complete disaster Ive spend two days just trying to get connection to2 different remote computers.

Reading these comments, I'm glad I'm not the only one truly disappointed and frustrated with this 'upgrade'. I have been with T/V for more years than I care to add up. For the most part, it was a very basic, easy to use, and reliable remote service I use daily with my clients. For me personally, while expensive, worked with 99% reliability. This new version...WTH?! Why??? You took a very simplistic & reliable interface and turned into a complicated, clugy, and extremely volatile & bugging interface. Audio calls "sometimes" work and "sometimes" don't. Audio is extremely quiet and unusable, then randomly comes back to normal volume. Contacts from my previous versions are now no longer in this version. The overall "full screen" interface is completely unneccsary & seemingly used for "what's new" animations. The list goes on...There are several other remote monitoring services, free services, that come very close to what T/V used to be in prior versions. When you have a solid product, don't 'upgrade' and change everything about it "just because"...this was a huge swing & a miss!
~Very annoyed; very frustrated!

Wasn't even a major release number change. Just an .x 'incremental', not a change to 16 which is SHOULD HAVE BEEN and the entire UI is hacked up.
That is bad, bad software road mapping resulting in a terrible customer experience. At least you saw fit to put an option in now to go back to the BETTER interface. But, in the new one, make it even easier to find, like (hey, wanna use the new, **bleep**, multi-layer buried features interface? Or the BETTER old one) when you launch the software.
The new one is terrible, did we mention that?

I really wish Team Viewer didn't keep trying to make using their software more difficult. New interface is an absolute nightmare. Just show people their ID and Password on the FIRST screen instead of trying to trick them into creating an account. So shady...
Most of the people we help using Team Viewer are not exactly the brightest or most tech savvy. These are unnecessary steps instead of just giving them the information they need.
THIS is what it should look like:
3 -
New interface is atrocious. Trying to talk to an end user to find the user ID and password. Keep it on the first screen without prompting to create an account.
2 -
As of 15.41.9 it appears this has been moved to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer\DefaultSettings
Same values apply to UIVersion . 2 = classic UI 4 = new UI.
Posting this for anyone that is on this version looking for the reg value
