I never seen this before today, and I don't know how to disable that. It has an orange square around and a tab in the middle top with a button "End Session". How to disable this?

Hi @FedericoF , Thanks for raising the question!
Please note that according to our article https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-remote/security/enable-screen-sharing-indicator-for-your-remote-sessions/#:~:text=Default%20configuration to disable the screen indicator a license is required. TeamViewer Host will only display the the screen sharing indicator if you start the remote session asking for prompt for confirmation.
I hope it helps! 🍀 Best, Carol
This is a rather annoying feature. Teamviewer is one of the tools we use to make corporate training materials at my company, and this is interfering with our process, because we don't want an orange border around any screenshots or video clips we create. It's ugly and distracting, and can be confusing to users.
I agree -- this is incredibly annoying! My windows 11 taskbar is at the top of my screen, so the orange tab that says "End session" covers some of my taskbar items! Does anyone know how to report this issue (I would call it a bug) to the TeamViewer development team?
I have the same question. My app on an Android tablet is full screen, and now the orange box is visible right through the bottom part of the screen.
how to remove the new end session borders from team viewer client side remote access
Issue still persists on the Windows desktop app. Both clients are up to date, but the orange box with the intrusive button in the top middle is still there.
How to disable this?
Does anyone know when this "orange box" feature (bug, in my opinion) was introduced? Was it introduced in 15.53.6, which I think is the latest version of TeamViewer or Windows 11? Or was it introduced earlier?
Please don't entertain this idea. It doesn't address the problems us other questioners have with this "innovation".
By the way: Teamviewer performed adequate without any orange borders.
Something else to consider; On mobile devices, the orange "X" button also gets in the way of the user's keyboard, making it more of a frustration for them than anything.
In my view this supposed enhancement is an unwanted annoyance and should be removed, or an option provided to remove it.
Hi,
I work with sight impaired people and that new button is a real problem as it activates as soon as it is touched so for someone sliding through the screen to get it read it is causing a lot of aggro.
Please take it out.
Thanks,
Amandine.
Rember to 1 star Teamviewer in your appstore.
hello, can i remove the blue end session description ? it seems i can't click the Got it button, any solution ?
I don't think anyone here is confused about the possibility to close a remote session. 🤔
Hi all, Thanks for your additional questions!
Rest assured that it has always been possible for remote users regardless of license or not to close the remote session via the session tray the new feature is just an enhancement as previously explained. We welcome and encourage you to share any ideas about how to improve TeamViewer in our Ideas board.
We thank you for your understanding! Let us know if we can help with any further clarification. Best, Carol
Teamviewer has really gone the way of utter garbage with all the updates. First the UI changing and being absolute trash. I constantly have to switch back to the old interface. Not only that but I have a customer who manages their clients and could ONLY see their computers and the new update made it possible for them to see ALL computers no matter what. Terrible!!! Constantly the page says "This page is having a problem" and doesn't even load. And now this rotten, ugly, unnecessary, intrusive orange border and blue pointless message about ending session. We have over 1000 computers and a corporate license. Whose brilliant idea was it to have this on computers with no monitors and make it impossible for the technician to close. Absolute trash. I will be recommending to management that we more to another solution. Overpriced anyway.
I have a paid TeamViewer account through our computer management software company. I use it to remote into servers with small screen resolutions, but I'm encountering a giant blue box that I can't click on, making it difficult to do my job. A few years ago, TeamViewer took away my ability to remote into any computer. Now, we have to install management software, which is nearly impossible for remote users who still need to install it. Perhaps it's time to start exploring other options. I need to figure out how to stop updates on TeamViewer so it would function like it used to and doesn't get this extra junk. I just need remote software that works.

What kind of dumb coder's idea is this where "Got it" button don't even work just stays there on the screen. Did TeamViewer hire some kids to come up with those new annoying and dumb ideas. Who really is incharge there?
@.Carol.fg. What about Teamviewer Host? Is it possible to disable the screen indicator?
Have the Teamviewer dev team completely lost the plot on this one - how can they believe that a huge box covering a large part of the remote screen be a good thing - it just doesnt make any sense - at the very least give the option to move or resize the box - why the *bleep* do you keep messing with what is generally a good system - We have been using TV for many years now (paid for) and everytime it gets "UPGRADED" it feels like it goes backwards - As someone else stated - Windows 8 like!!! Come on TV you have to rectify this ludicrous function and soon!!!!
What a ridiculous feature.. ugly and pointless. The remote user could already click the X to close a session, the session window already pops out when a remote user connects so there is no need for an orange box and screen elements you cant collapse or close.
On top of this the "Got it" notification cannot be closed, which covers part of the screen when you are working remotely. Get rid of this "feature" asap please.
Who is cancelling their paid subscription if TV don't remove this "free version feature"? Me me me!!
Why don't you fix the issue where Teamviewer intermittently crashes with more than 10 sessions open since version 10 or so, instead of adding an irritant like this?
Hi @Waynelozza and @CTBun, Thanks for the time you took to provide us with feedback.
Please know that users with a license can disable/enable the feature:
Regarding the issue of TeamViewer crashing, @CTBun , as a licensed user, we would advise you to contact our support team directly for assistance. The local phone numbers can be found here: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/customer-support/ I hope it helps. 🍀 Best, Carol
It seems you can disable it by going on the remote machine, in the Advanced settings of TV. In the "Advanced settings when connecting to remote computers (translated)", untick the "Show screen share notification (translated)".
Does anyone know how to disable notifications for this thread? I have already unsubscribed via email and turned off all notifications in my profile settings. 🫠
Thanks
I cannot believe that someone at Teamviewer would have the idea of putting this big message box in the middle of the screen like this.
The banner deployed at the right bottom screen is already so annoying. Why add more of those???
At least, it was possible to get rid of that second new annoyance with my "expensive" paid license.
As per the rest, this is a great product. So, please, no more additional message boxes cluttering the screen.
Regards!
Another new annoying "feature". I can't even click the "Got it" button to make the bubble disappear. Instead, it overlaps any window I have open. How is this helpful in a corporate environment? Do you realize there are computers and virtual machines that don't have an end user? What are we supposed to do with this?
This last year of "updates" has been so brutal. And a price increas on top of it all. The only thing stopping me from switching away from this disaster is the hundreds of computers I'd have to switch to another service. But every few months I get closer and closer to leaving. SO disappointing where TV is headed.
LOL! So this button is greyed out! What fun! As a workaround to that annoying orange box, I have **Third Party Product** installed.
Login to that, hit the buttons I need, then I can use TeamViewer again… Such a pain…
What do we do when connecting to unattendend computers ???
I appear to have found a work-around for this.
You will need yourself or someone with physical access to target PC to assist with this.
With no current TV connection to target PC, change the settings in Advanced settings for this computer to " Confirm all ".
Make fresh connect to target PC, change setting back to " Full Access ".
This appears to reset the Full access config.
