Updates on macOS compatibility
What changed
- You can now automate even more support scenarios across both Windows and macOS from a single platform, helping you reduce digital friction for Mac users. This update brings macOS-exclusive insights, such as Mac console logs, failure updates, macOS version data, and Safari cache visibility.
It also expands Windows capabilities with new insights such as Chrome cache, Intune cache reset, Location Services, PowerShell health, and Windows RDP. The feature is available on desktop and in the web client.
This is available to all customers on TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced, and everyone with the DEX Essentials add-on.

TeamViewer Remote
Screen sharing also available from desktop to web-based screen
What changed
Supporters can now create a session link or code directly from the desktop client for web-based screen sharing. The person receiving help simply opens the link in their browser, verifies the supporter’s identity, and starts the session, with no installation required.
During the session, the remote user can share their screen and use the toolbar, while the supporter provides guidance from the desktop. If full remote control is needed, the session can be seamlessly elevated by downloading the QuickSupport module.
This feature is available for our Business, Premium, Corporate, and TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced customers, requiring a Chromium-based browser, like Chrome, Edge, Opera, etc. on the remote side.
Why it matters
This makes it faster and easier to start support sessions, especially in environments where installing software isn’t possible.
Built-in verification steps help ensure secure connections, while the ability to elevate to full remote control gives you flexibility when deeper troubleshooting is required.

Updates on user details
What changed
The Users list now includes a new Creation Date column. Combined with the existing Last Accessed field, this gives you a clearer view of account activity:
You can also filter by Creation Date in the overview for quicker insights. The field is supported for accounts created from 2018 onward (older accounts will not display a creation date).
The new column is also included in data exports, both when exporting manually from TeamViewer Remote and via GET API calls.
All licenses with access to user management can benefit from this feature, available in the web client and on desktop.

This feature improves the management of user accounts in TeamViewer, making it more efficient for increased account lifecycle transparency.

Updates on policies
What changed
Company-managed devices now automatically inherit the TeamViewer policy from their assigned device group; no manual group selection is required for Inherit from group.
This applies when a device is part of a single group. If a device belongs to multiple groups, no policy is assigned automatically. Policies are also not applied if no policy is configured at the group level or if the device has not been added to a group yet.
Manual policy assignment and removal remain fully supported. If a policy is explicitly removed from a device, it will not be reapplied automatically and must be reassigned manually.
This feature requires TeamViewer 15.79 or newer on the company-managed devices.

This update ensures devices automatically receive a policy, reducing the risk of compliance or security gaps while simplifying management with consistent configurations and less manual effort.

Linux improvement
What changed
Now, when working at the command line or in the terminal on Linux, you can start TeamViewer from there using commands.
All TeamViewer users on Linux can benefit from this feature.
This feature works with either easy access or a password. It also works without adding a password to the command; in this case, a password prompt will appear when setting up the connection.

This update helps fit TeamViewer more seamlessly into your workflows in a more flexible way.

TeamViewer AI
Tia is suggesting solutions to your IT issues
What changed
During a session, Tia can surface session insights that are relevant to the task you have questions about.
This feature works by formulating a prompt, like ‘'Are there any session insights about the Japanese language package that needs to be installed on Windows?’', and Tia answers with its findings on the matter.

Tia can support you in the web client and on the desktop application, now also available in connections to macOS.
This applies to Business, Premium, Corporate, Tensor, and TeamViewer ONE customers.

Tia increases efficiency when solving problems during a remote control session by using proven solutions rather than guessing.

AI-assisted scripting updates
What changed
We already know about TeamViewer’s AI credit-based payment model. What’s new in this month’s update is that using Tia to create scripts from session summaries now costs 5 AI credits, with each additional refinement costing 1 extra AI credit. This feature is available in the web client.
Our TeamViewer ONE Standard & Advanced, Business, Premium, Corporate, and Tensor customers, and everyone with the DEX Essentials add-on can use this feature.
