Can't control remote MAC

I have until a few days ago been able to remote access another MAC and operate the screen remotely. All of a sudden all I can now do is see the screen but can't operate is remotely. I am on High Sierra and the remote PC is on Mojave. The remote PC has been checked to ensure the accessabilty controls have been set correctly, but still no joy.  Can anyone help ???
