galaxy note 5 no connection after update

Both my parents have galaxy note 5 phones with host for samsung installed so I can help them troubleshoot. It has been working great until I decided to update both phones to the lateset android. After that the two phones will not show up on my teamviewer devices. Checking the app on the phones shows that it has no connection. After closing and reopening them they will work fine for a few hours before disappearing again from my list and showing no connection. I have tried putting the host for samsung app in the unmonitored apps section of the battery settings but it doesn't change anything. Still the same issue.
