Cannot enter text on remote computer

I connect to the Windows 10 remote computer from my Windows 10 computer and can move the mouse on the remote computer's desktop but am unable to enter text using my keyboard.
Using the remote computer's ease of access on screen keyboard works. One can enter text on the remote computer using the remote computer's on screen keyboard.
What setting do I need to adjust so that I can type from my keyboard on the remote computer?
