Migrate Teamviewer 9 to 12

We currently use Teamviewer 9 (Corporate) with a SQL DB and Teamviewer Manager 9.  We purchased version 12 and are trying to find migration guidelines/steps.  First question:  is there only a cloud-based Management Console in Teamviewer 12?   If not, what are the server specifications and migration steps to assist us in moving from version 9 to 12?  Finally, can clients that are on version 9 be managed by a version 12 console or does the whole environment need to be migrated at the same time?

Thank you for your assistance.

Re: Migrate Teamviewer 9 to 12

Hey Michelep,

As far as I know there's only a webbased management console. From the official manual:

The TeamViewer Management Console is a web-based management platform for intuitively managing your TeamViewer contacts and logging TeamViewer connections. In addition, the TeamViewer Management Console provides extensive functions for managing several TeamViewer accounts and managing them through an administrative account (company profile). The TeamViewer Management Console can be reached via the Internet using a web browser – as a result, it can be called up independently of the operating system. A local database or Microsoft SQL server are not necessary.

As far as being able to use TeamViewer 9 with the TeamViewer 12 management console, as far as I know you can simply add a client as long as it has a TeamViewer ID, regardless of version. Some functions may not be available when you remotely control them though.

Please check https://www.teamviewer.com/en/support/documents/ - specifically the Manual for Management Console should give you some insight into how this works.
