Nexus 5 - LG add-on not compatible?

I am trying t6o remote-control my Nexus 5, running Android 6.0.1;

Both Teamviewr Host and Teamviewer QuickSupport (BTW - which one should I be using? what's the difference?) allow me to see the screen, and when I move the PC mouse the motion is reflected on the phone - but I can't click, and the keayboad also does not work.

So - I tried installing the Teamviewer LG add-on. To my real surprise, the appstore claims this app is not compatioble with my LG-made Nexus 5, and at the same time it claims it IS compatible with my Huawei Ascend XT ...

CAN the Nexus 5 be remote controlled beyond screen sharing? if so, how?

facing the very same issue.

I tried downloading the APK from TV's site:
http://nexusapk.com/TeamViewer-QuickSupport.html
This one says TeamViewer QuickSupport APK for Nexus, it does install, but with no impact, can see the nexus 5, can move the cursor, yet no click.
Could you please try it yourself?

BTW, amd trying to make the old Nexus 5 a media player and control it from my Galaxy. Interesting enough, the revrese (Nexus controlling the Galaxy works perfectly...)
