Sony XZ Premium Stuck at "Connecting to" when Attempting to Remote Connect

I have two devices with the TeamViewer app installed. One is a Pixel XL and the other is a Sony XZ Premium. Both are updated to the same version of the app.

With the Pixel XL, the remote control function works perfectly: when I attempt to connect to it from my Windows 7 laptop, it connects without issue and displays my phone screen (it does not allow for remote control because it is a Google device).

However, the same cannot be said of my Sony device. Whenever I attempt to establish a remote control link from my PC (or even my Pixel XL), it gets stuck on the "Connecting to [Device Name]" step, never even displaying the phone screen. At the same time, it seems that the XZ Premium thinks it has successfully connected, as it indicates as much in the notification bar.

Some things I've already tried are:

-Reinstalling the app

-Playing around with app settings
