Teamviewer 14 on Linux does not store proxy settings

I am using Teamviewer 14.5.1691 and whenever I want to apply manual proxy settings, they disappear again after closing the settings menu.

More precisely,

after entering the settings as per below picture, I click

- Apply

- ok

- reopen the very same dialog and the settings are gone.
