What is "allow easy access"?

I've been a TV user for several years and like the product.  I recently upgraded to version 13 and as I upgraded, it asked me to do some reconfiguring.  In particular, the setup had 3 options.  I don't remember what all 3 options were, but the last one, concerned me.  The last option was "Allow Easy Access".  There was no explanation as to what it meant if I turned that option "on".  I've googled it, searched TV's site, but there is almost no mention of this setting.  Can someone tell me what it means to select the "Allow Easy Access" setting?
