TeamViewer suddenly does not function

Ive been running TeamViewer on my home server running Linux Mint for years without issues. This past week, suddenly, trying to access it through TV fails every time, hanging on "Initialising viewing parameters" or something like that. Upon checking the server machine, TV IS running but refuses to open the GUI.

Killing the progress, rebooting and even reinstalling Teamviewer does not solve the issue and I am currently stuck on how to proceed. Help is very appreciated.

I am a novice at Linux, please take that in mind!
