ubuntu 18.04 black screen not allowing input

not sure what teamviewer version i'm on but i'm running ubuntu 18.04 and it's a pc i remotely monitor, it doesn't have keyboard mouse or monitor attached. just got it setup today and i go to remotely manage it, black screen. cannot put input into it to unlock or anything. help please

i tried attaching a keyboard and mouse to see if it just won't allow input and it's like screen offed. no change
