Authentication Rejected on LAN

I'm trying to connect to my host from an Android device.

I enabled LAN only mode (accept exclusively) and I seem to be getting Authentication Rejected error when I try to connect via IP. Is there a fix to this?

It seems to be related to this problem: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/TeamViewer-12/Lan-connections-and-whitelist-problems-authenticat...

Doesn't look like there is a fix yet.. Or is there??

Edit: An update. Restarting did not fix it. I try to connect to myself via teamviewer and that doesn't work either (127.0.0.1). Not that it should work but its rejecting myself (lol). Perhaps this is a router setting issue? I have no idea what would cause it though.

Edit2: Something from the logs:

2017/05/12 10:41:48.949 1440 5532 D1 CLogin::run()
2017/05/12 10:41:48.949 1440 5532 D1 CLogin::NegotiateVersionServer()
2017/05/12 10:41:48.964 1440 5532 D1 CLoginServer::CheckIfConnectionIsAllowed()
2017/05/12 10:41:48.964 1440 5532 D1 CLoginServer::CheckIfConnectionIsAllowed: connection not allowed, buddy account verification failed
2017/05/12 10:41:48.964 1440 5532 D1 CLoginServer::runServer: Connection is not allowed
2017/05/12 10:41:48.964 1440 5532 D1 CLogin::run() leave

This seems to be the issue.

Edit3: Updating to insider build did not fix it. Still says Authentication Rejected on Android device and on host computer (bottom left of main window). I can't add the local computer on My Computers list either and I can connect through the internet just fine.

Re: Authentication Rejected on LAN

I found a fix!

It appears it was a policy issue. I had whitelist only instead, switched to blacklist with nothing and it worked. I guess its because my device is not using the internet for authentication so it was getting authentication rejected.

Bump, still no fix found. Doesn't appear to be a firewall issue and I can ping the host from my device.

Re: Authentication Rejected on LAN

That did work for me too. I'd much prefer the whitelist instead just so it is another layer of security, but at least I can use my LAN connection.

Re: Authentication Rejected on LAN

I am just finding this thread more than a year later.

I have several machines that I'd like to lock to my account and whitelist. Two of the machines get taken out into the field and it's critical to be able to use TV to connect to them without internet access.

Does this mean I have to disable account locking and whitelisting on these machines? Or switch back and forth every time they gain or lose internet access?

What do people do with machines that go in and out of internet access?
