Is there a way to reduce data usage of mobile app?

Hi. I'm using my phone to play a game in my computer using Team Viewer, and I am aware that a high internet usage is necessary since an image is sent every time a pixel changes it's colour.
Knowing that, I wonder if there is a way to reduce this data usage, maybe by reducing resolution on my computer or something alike.
