Apple Pencil

Is there some issue with Teamviewer on an iPad. I bought a brand new iPad for my wife to access her computer using the apple pencil. After a week of trying to get it to work, we have concluded that there is something wrong with the software, the pencil works great on every other application. Double tapping, click and drag, nothing works right when using team viewer for remote access.

Any suggestions or is this a known issue that is being worked on?
