Team Viewer 8 - End of Life?

Hello All,

We have some users within our buisness who would like to use teamviewer 8 so that a 3rd party support company can remote onto our systems to resolve issues etc....

Our buisness runs under a strict software policy which does not allow us to run end of life software / Hardware as this will void our security certifications.

Is anyone able to tell me if TeamViewer 8 is still safe to use and in support, or if the product is now EOL?

    Hi @srabyelmer ,

    Thank you for your post.

As you might notice, paying customers are encouraged to update to the latest version however, depending on the situation, users can remain using their purchased version along the lines of the product lifecycle policy

To answer your question, V8 is not what we would call "EOL" as we still support users who have purchased licenses in those versions. However, we no longer provide patches or fixes for those versions except for critical security issues.

Our EOL dates are determined by our product lifecycle policy.

Also, please note that V8 is not supported on newer operating systems.
You can see a list of our supported OS here.

    Hope this will be helpful.

    All the best,
    Yuri
