Teamviewer 14 (and 13) error.

We received the annoying message that is forcing us to upgrade TV to v14 on our old / stable / critical Windows XP machine. After updating we now cannot run Teamviewer and get the error "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way". This is from TeamViewer_Service.exe and a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime dialog. Windows XP SP3 which is supposed to be able to run v14. If we cannot run v14 how can we run v13 with the message that it will stop working soon. I think we were on v10 because it just worked.
