Can't access daughters computer in her dorm

Options

My daugher recently moved into her college dorm and her computer connects to the internet via a secured wifi connection (requireing a user name and password)

Once authenticated the wifi works like any other wifi conection.

She shows as offline when I try to connect to her comptuer.  We have checked her PC's firewall settings Teamview is set to allow connection from both public and private sources.

What should I be looking for to allow connection?  Maybe a proxy?

I had her connect to the wired network and that doesn't seem to work either.

If you can connect to her laptop when it is on a different network (home, coffee shop, bookstore) then the school is probably blocking teamviewer at their firewall.

You can have her try to ping a teamviewer server and see it times out.

In Windows, run CMD, and type: ping master1.teamviewer.com

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>ping master1.teamviewer.com

If there is no reply (unavailable) then she can't reach the servers.

    I don't work for TeamViewer. I'm just a user.
