How to uninstall teamviewer 12 on ubuntu 14.04 and ubuntu 16.04?

I would like to uninstall teamviewer 12 on ubuntu 14.04 and ubuntu 16.04.

My aim is to get the recent version teamviewer 14 installed on these two ubuntu systems.
