Any known issues re conflict between TV14 and a VPN?

Are there any known issues involving using TV14 on a mac running a VPN to control another mac, also running a VPN? A related question is when choosing to trust either a device or an IP, does choosing 'device' let TV14 ignore changes to the IP used by the VPN?
