CentOS 7 - Mouse Clicks opening up too many items and locking up host

After a new installation of CentOS and TeamViewer, I can log into the UI via standard user account, however, when I click on any icon or open a terminal, it is as if I pressed the left mouse button hundreds of times at once, with many terminal windows opening, which locks up the host. I have seen this on several fresh installations and it is a recurring issue. Not sure why this is happening, but it appears to have been seen with TeamViewer 13 & 14. Has anyone else seen this issue and found a resolution?
