Linux keyloggers and security issues

Options

We are interested change our current remote support solution but we're afraid about security issues we had that maybe some of you can clarify.

We’re using a windows remote control machine working as a remote tech support, we mainly connect to linux machines (Ubuntu) in order to control remotely a hardware made by us through a programmer. On the other side (client) a technician should connect hardware to an interface and to computer via USB and we need to connect remotely through linux Terminal (CLI) typing user and password of the device in client’s computer. My question is:

Is there any way, via keylogger or any kind of software that a technician in the other side(client) be able to get user/password I type in the remote computer? In other words, could the keys typed in “server” side be “logged/hacked” in clients side?

Thank you all,
