TeamViewer VPN ping request time out

I can connect to the remote machine using standard TeamViewer remote control.  It works flawlessly.  However, I also have set up TeamViewer VPN and connection is rather unstable.  Often, I am able to connect via VPN, but then try pinging the server and keep getting request time outs.  Based on suggestions from some threads on this community, I have turned off all firewalls and Antivirus (not totally comfortable with this) just to see if those  were causing the problem.  Same issues persist.  Request time outs.  Again, no problem connecting using remote control, but cannot connect to VPN.  Anyone have an idea?

I need TeamViewer VPN to access software licenses from a license server I am running remotely.

    I had the same problem. After Teamviewer was completely removed and reinstalled,  VPN worked for a few days. Now I've got the same behavior.
