TeamViewer ID changed suddenly. Waste a license slot.

Hi, I recently purchased the remote access license, that allows me to access 3 computers.  I have only registered 1 computer so far.  Yesterday, the ID of this machine suddenly changes from a 10-digit ID into a 9-digit ID.

When I connect to the machine, I get a prompt to register the machine.  I had to agree, but I've wasted 1 slot this way.  I have three questions:

1) Does reverting to a 9-digit ID means I'm using some one elses ID?  Does this pose a security threat what so ever?

2) Why did the ID change?  The only changes to the machine I made is to change the drive (add a drive) and change the SATA ports connecting the hard drives.

3) How can I get back my lost slot?  I actually don't care that much, but I certainly don't want to be wasting my slots if the ID changes again in the future.

The machine is running CentOS 7.  I connect to the machine from various other OSes including Android, Windows, and other linux.
