Can non-commercial users connect to a Windows Xp, SP3 computer?
I am a very happy non-commercial TV user. Today (9/25/2020) my connection to an Xp machine was terminated due to its not being upgraded to the "latest version". It has been for some time now operating on the latest version of TV that will run on Xp, SP3. However, that is certainly NOT the "latest version" of TV. The Xp version refuses to update, stating that it is up to date (which it is, as far as Xp supported versions go.).
Somewhere in searching the forum today (sorry I can't seem to locate it now) I found that some connections are limited to commercially licensed users. Again, I apologize for not being able to reference the post, but I think it had to to with either Xp or versions that were not up to date. I am wondering if this is a recent change that has now collided with the Xp version being stuck and wont upgrade.
Question: Can non-commercial licensed TV installations connect to Windows Xp systems that are not "up tp date"?
Perhaps the answer is now, "no"... I hope I am wrong.

Hello @randress
Thank you for your message and welcome to the TeamViewer Community! ?
Indeed, the use of the free TeamViewer license is only possible with the latest version of TeamViewer on both sides of the connection.
You will find all the information you need in our Knowledge Base article here: Enjoy using the best version of TeamViewer we made so far! - How to proceed?
The use of previous versions will require a professional license.
I hope this could help. ?
Cheers,
Jean
