Connected to Remote Desktop start but can't control device

Hello,
 
I am able to connect to my device remotely, but after connection is established and I can see the remote desktop screen I can't click on any window. My remote desktop is running Ubuntu 20.04 and I am connecting from Windows and macOS. Is there a way to regain control without physcially accessing the remote desktop?
