Cannot activate remote access plan despite following instructions here

Hi,
I had a business license and downgraded to a remote access license. I received the activation link, but clicking it says my teamviewer account has anoter license assigned. Under profile it says it my account type is free. What do I do?
Very dissapointed to see these circular support pages full of mistakes, circular linking and help articles that appear to be frantic workarounds. The prodict has worked great for me, but this aspect is a mess! I hope it is not an indication that you won't be around much longer!
