Remote Radio Control

We want to control a transceiver remotely.  We are all licensed to operate it on the selected channels.  Control of the radio is fine with the local computer.  The remote can select the channel and control volume.  However, when speaking into the remote computer the radio does not transmit the message.

We don't understand why.  Any suggestions are appreciated.
