Meaning of popup "ComputerName has logged in"

Quite often I receive a popup on my desktop saying "ComputerName has logged in"

This "ComputerName" is a remote computer I regularly access.

I assume this message indicates that the remote computer has come online. Is that correct?

Would the fact that this remote computer has a poor internet connection which regularly drops out explain why the message appears so often (when reconnection is achieved)?

Correct - if you see this pop-up coming up often, it means that the computer loses and regains connection to our master very often.
