Remote session computer sounds, but not incoming microphone

I'm trying to support my primary school child doing home learning while I work in another room.

I'm using TeamViewer remote control connection and I get all the computer/output sound from the target machine but not incoming sound from the microphone on **Information removed as per Community Guidelines** or MS Teams sessions (ie. all sound comes through and all other parties on **Information removed as per Community Guidelines** or Team but not my daughter from the microphone on the PC. Is it possible to fix this or is the mic on the target machine exclusively feeding the **Information removed as per Community Guidelines** /Teams session so Teamviewer cannot transmit it also?

The set up:

I'm on the TeamViewer app on a Chromebook, with remote control session to the Windows 10 PC
