"Your current version of TeamViewer is non-genuine and has been illegally modified." How to fix it?

I cannot use TeamViewer because when I want to connect to remote computer I get a message "Your current version of TeamViewer is non-genuine and has been illegally modified."

I have just installed a new version of TeamViewer from this site: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/mac-os/

What is wrong with this app and how to fix it?

Hello,

I recently started seeing this for one my servers that i connect to regularly. I managed a couple hundred systems with teamviewer and have only encountered one system that shows this message. The "Get your special offer" button takes me to a teamviewer china offer of some kind.

Can someone at teamviewer support please comment on this asap. The fact that the "Special offer" links to something to do with China makes me think this is a botched marketing attempt of some kind.

Very frustrating either way...
