Standalone Teamviewer app?

In the course of installing and evaluating Teamviewer Free(using it for friends and family), I'd swear I saw mention of a standalone app that can be downloaded and used. Does it really exist? If so, how can I get it? It would be helpful to someimes provide it to ppl who aren't very savvy with their computers instead of needing to walk them through downloading and installing the full app(could even email the app to them)!
