Disable Remote Input and Show Black Screen not working on Host app

I manage a fleet of android devices, in which I must remote access the devices from time to time. When remoting into them, I want the devices screen to be black and to disable input from the device itself until I disconnect. It seems like TeamViewer has a solution for exactly this. However, when I attempt to set the device's properties to enable this feature, it doesn't seem to work. The android device's screen is showing everything, and device input is not disabled.

I have tried on multiple devices. All devices/apps/software is up to date. I have tried restarting the device/teamviewer software/computer.

None have succeeded in the expected results.
