Is there a way to disable the teamviewer ad pop-ups?

I have a corporate account, and it's always been a nuisance to get their ad pop-ups every time I close a connection. But it's only been a nuisance.

Recently, however, I find that there is some sort of bug that makes an empty pop-up come up. It has no buttons, and it overrides the UI. So the only way to get rid of it is to quit the app and reopen it, losing all my other connections. All for an ad for a service I already pay $200/mo for.

I use a MacBook Pro.

Thanks!

    Hello @sammy22,

You can disable ads from your TeamViewer clients by disabling it within the Advanced TeamViewer options:

  • This is happening on the Mac as well. Any status on how to disable? It actually crashes the client when I click on the ad to stop showing. I have to restart Teamviewer after a force quit.

    Hello @cdforget,

Don't worry, this is also available for macOS 😊

You will find it in your Advanced options.

📌Note: This feature is only available from version 15.10

If you are using an older version of TeamViewer and the box is not available, please

    Hello,

Seems like it has been removed from latest Windows version and a popup comes on every session end. No matter if "don't show this again" is clicked:

To locate the in-product marketing message setting on the Windows device, could you please check the Account tab on the TeamViewer options?

Thank you for getting back to me and we appreciate you providing the screenshot.

I have highlighted the dedicated option using the given screenshot. Could you please check the TeamViewer setting again to locate the in-product marketing message option?

Thank you in advance for your patience.

    Hi @ATJussi,

Excuse me - there is a misunderstanding on my side and sorry about the inconvenience caused.

If you are still receiving any in-product marketing messages, kindly try restarting the TeamViewer application to see if this helps.

If this issue persists, please share a screenshot of the pop-up message contents.

    I appreciate your understanding.

    Hi there Akiho,

My Finnish autocorrection altered your name, sorry:-).

It seems that the pop up is gone. Probably only temporary malfunction.

  • Any chance we can get this disabled using policy? Seems like something we should be able to disable remotely. Does it stay disabled if we export a .tvopt-file?

    Hi @DanielEklund,

Yes, this setting will stay disabled if you deploy a .tvopt file.
