TeamViewer 15 activation

Options

Hi

I purchased a commercial license a few years back and you gave us a License number (19 digits). I now upgrade (changed PC windows 11), but now if I try to enter that license number under the Legacy license number, it say it is invalid.

At the time we purchased TeamViewer License, we never got an "activation email", we only received the 19 digit license number.

How can I activate my Teamviewer?

Thank you

Frank

    Hello @ClubPlug,

I will try to help you here.

Could you tell me what exact version of TeamViewer you have bought, so I can guide you to the activation?

    Hi Jean

Yes, we use to have version 10 and then purchased the upgrade to version 15 a few years ago. They gave use a 19 digit lic. number, at the time we simply did the upgrade from version 10 to version 15 and it asked for the lic. number. Worked fine then.

Now we changed/upgraded PC (new PC), so we want to use the same lic. number for the ver 15.

    Thank you for the details.

So the most important point here is to understand if you have received the free upgrade from version 10 to version 15 as announced below:

Or if you actually have purchased a TeamViewer subscription (and received an invoice + activation email).

Could you please check this on your side?

Ok perfect - then this is the procedure you need to follow to get access to version 15:

Migration guide from version 8, 9 or 10 to version 15

    1) Create or log into your account via the Management Console

    2) Click on your name in the upper right corner, then click on Edit Profile

    3) In the General tab, line License, click on Change license

    4) Click on Legacy License Key Activation

    5) Enter your license key (the key is indicated your latest invoice) and confirm with Upgrade & Logout

    6) Now, update your TeamViewer clients to version 15 and log in with your credentials:

Your license should be recognized sign as below:

Let me know if you could successfully migrate your account! 👍

    Hi Jean

That is what I did, but when I get to Step 5) Enter your license key (the key is indicated your latest invoice) and confirm with Upgrade & Logout

I enter the 19 digit lic. number that they gave us and it says "invalid license number" and cannot continue.

    :-(

Is there any way of contacting you by phone or can I send you the lic. number that TeamViewer gave us in private email?

    Thank you

    Frank

Thank you for providing the license number.

I checked and the problem is that there is no problem. 🤓

You have correctly linked your account with your license. ✔

Now, you need to install TeamViewer 15 on your devices and log into your TeamViewer account in the section below:

After logging in, you should have access to your version 15 license.
