Accessing external drives on Mac

When attempting file transfer on my Macbook Pro, the file transfer window does not show external hard drives. I can see and access them during other operations, but not in TV.

Grateful for any solutions.

Not sure where the [**bleep**] came from - I typed 'but'

In the “root” there is a “Volumes” folder. There you can find your external hard drives.
