windows 11 startmenu not showing

When trying to open the start menu on the remote pc (running windows 11, fully upgraded) I cant se the start menu. also happens i.e on the spotify app I cant see it.


work arround is to hit win+shift+S and force the screen capture the I can see the start menu and use it. It happens from all remote apps, iOS and windows also running windows 11.

    Just wanted to do a bump that this is still an issue. Even on fresh Windows 11 installation.

    Confirm this is happening to me too.

    Another work around is to:

    (1) Click on the Start menu -> you won't see anything, or at best you see the shaded outline of where the menu should be

    (2) TeamViewer Actions -> Send Ctrl + Alt + Del

    (3) Cancel that Ctrl+Alt+Del dialog you're back in the desktop with the Start menu visible.

    Unfortunately this work around - like the one with win+shift+s are not persistent in that session. You'd have to use them each and every time you need the Start menu.

    Hi,

    I found I was having this issue with one of my systems, Windows 11 based, turns out it was because I had my screen turned off. If you turn your screen on, or attach a powered on screen to the system it should resolve this issue unless its a VM or something.
