iPad + Bluetooth Keyboard : Arrow Keys + others don't work

I have an iPad and a bluetooth keyboard. After some update a month or two ago, the arrow keys, control key, option/alt key, among others have stopped working and no longer do anything on the remote computer. Before whatever update that was, it was literally working fine. I don't really know what to do, I use the arrow keys everywhere.
