I am nut sure about what issue you have experienced on TeamViewer. Can you share additional information about "can't log on" issue please? Did you see any error message? How did TeamViewer response?

for the last 5 weekends i have had a message saying there is a high volume of activity and that I, consequently, cant connect.
incredibly, i have just connected!!! that would be right! lol
been extremely frustrating over many weekends recently.
I recognise MY IT dept may be working on my server at same time but not every time

The current possible suggestion for the issue would be visiting TeamViewer Reset page and submitting the reset request.
Hope it would be something to improve the experience with TeamViewer!
