How can I set up Teamviewr to prompt end users to accept or deny access before we remote in?

I suggest you don't. The TFA for Connections is extremely buggy. That would send a mobile notification to Allow/Block. I've had a horrible time with it lately flipping out and not sending mobile notifications. Then you are hosed getting back in unless you have direct access to the machine. Better option would be to add their ID to the allow list along with your admin's ID(s).

I may have asked incorrectly. What I am trying to do is before we remote into a computer, we want the end user to be able to accept the connection or deny. I do not want our IT support specialist to remote in without the user giving access to their computer even though we have unattended access enabled.

    Hello @Zeshaan 😃

    Thank you for your question!

You can make this configuration in different ways. You can:

    • change the settings on the devices of your IT support
    • change the settings on the devices of your clients
    • or change the settings on both

👉 Basically, on the TeamViewer advanced Options, there are this 2 fields that you can set up to Confirm all:

    • Advanced settings for connections to this computer, everyone who attempts to connect to this device will need to wait for confirmation.
    • Advanced settings for connections to other computers, every time this device connects to a partner, the partner will get a prompt to accept the connection

💡Hint: If you have a license that allows a Company Profile, you can create a policy and apply it to all devices in your computers and contact list in a single time. You can read more about the TeamViewer policies here:

Let me know if this information helped you, or if you need further assistance.

    Best,

I got you, but was just offering a working solution for security. Just didn't realize you wanted the user to also allow the admins. To do what you want though...

Security Options, Two-Factor Authentication for Connections...go in there and you can add your user's mobile device. It will show you a QR Code. Have the user install Teamviewer app on their mobile. On the mobile app options, find TFA for Connections, and they need to scan the QR Code the desktop app is displaying. That will add their mobile as the only device to allow/block connections. Then when anyone tries to make a connection, they will get the notification you are looking for.

Good luck with that though. That is what I am saying is buggy. If it bugs out, the connecting client will just see "Authenticating..." when the user should be getting the notification to Allow/Block. The bug is the user never gets the notification, and the connecting client gets denied.
