The TVID in the Host module occasionally changes. Just yesterday, I was remoted into a computer, rebooted it after a Windows Update, and never saw it come back online in my TV console. This was an on-site computer so I walked over to it and saw the TVID had changed.
This has happened several times in the past couple of years on computers that I regularly remote into -- including a headless server. For that one, I had to drive to the client (20 miles) and plug in a monitor just to get the TVID.
These TV Host installations are either current release of TV or maybe one version old. But regardless.
I created a script that runs at endpoint startup that emails me (using mailwrench) the TVID in the event it changes. But really this should not be necessary.
Any ideas?
