Hi ,

I am trying to help someone to set up their new phone- xiaomi redmi 10c. Mine is a xiaomi redmi 7pro

We get a connection but I can not control the other phone. The other phone uses quicksupport with universal add on and I am using a mobile app team viewer . I can see the screen of it but can not controll it. I also tried to do it from my lap top but I am getting a very limeted view of their phone. I can see all the apps and can uninstall them but I can not install any additional ones or move them around .

I have read that xiaomi is not fully supported but maybe there is someone that knows the way around it.

    Hello @Seamek,

    Congrats on your first post!

I think I found what the issue could be. 💡

To remote control a mobile device, you need to download and install the universal add-on, which, according to your post, you already did. But to make it work, you must also enable it in the phone's Accessibility settings.

We explain how to proceed in the last step of our article here.

Let me know if this fixed the issue!

    Hi JeanK,

I got very exited after receiving your reply as it was in fact a step that I missed. However after activating TeamViewer quicksupport accessibility in settings nothing changed. I could only see their current screen without any ability to control it .

Even this step was hard to achieve by the other side who is not familiar with the smartphone and it's settings.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hi @Seamek,

I am sorry to hear that it didn't solve the issue.

In that case, I guess your devices are simply incompatible with remote control via TeamViewer, and only screen-sharing is possible.
