Teamviewer Hacked

Hello,

I installed Teamviewer on my home pc last week and believe i was hacked. When i logged in on Friday my web browsers were open and items had been purchased onine.

I looked at my symantec security logs and it confirmed there was an attack on Teamviewer that it was unable to block at a few minutes before the purchases were made. I therefore uninstalled teamviewer on this pc straight away.

Does this appear that Teamviewer has been compromised?

I am sorry to hear what happened to you and hope nothing major happened!

First and foremost, TeamViewer doesn't have any information about your devices like passwords or your TeamViewer ID. The only way someone can connect to your device is if you have told someone your password or if you have malicious software on your device. Therefore, we recommend telling your TeamViewer ID and password only to people you fully trust.

Additionally, I'd like you to run a virus scan on your device to make sure that no software has been installed without you knowing.
